Auto Insurance Firm Penalized $200K for Slow Service

A suburban company in Northwest would pay around $200,000 and resolve hundreds of consumer complaints after which state Department found that it was not addressing or investigating customer complaints.

The Illinois State Department issued an order against auto insurance company Universal Casualty to pay around $200,000 fine to correct the claims processes for its slow services. This is not the first time the state has issued the order. In January also the state department had been creating and maintaining the claim for investigation and resolution purposes. It however did not receive any complaints for the failure leading to resolve the property damage.

Along with this the company has been asked to resolved hundreds of other complaints for its state. The institute would take corrective measures against the release which would include the new management measures also.
