For homeowners the insurance rates in Ohio averaged at $542 a year, whereas a national average is about $801. The average price for auto insurance in Ohio was $654 a year as compared to $817 nationwide.
Also the experts say that the insurance rates hike is due to the natural calamities that the country has recently experienced and is likely to continue in the current year as well. They also say that one, who experiences such a hike, should shop around to see if a better deal is available to them. This should be done by people every two or three years as it saves lot of money.
One needs to shop around for new policies even though the current coverage term is there. Also if you have paid up for the premium in advance last year, still you can switch and get reimbursed for the balance of term.
